Callbook AI is a YC Summer 2026 startup building an AI-operated collections agency.
Our agents research, contact, and negotiate with more than one hundred thousand people every week.
We want financial institutions to recover more, understand their customers better, and operate at a scale that used to require much larger teams.

You would work directly with the technical team and the founders. Every improvement you ship can increase how much we recover, how many people we reach, and how quickly we open a new market.

The profile
The fundamentals matter
We are not looking for someone starting completely from zero.
You should have foundations in systems engineering, computer science, software development, or an equivalent education you built yourself.
You need to read code, understand APIs and databases, use Git, write tests, and reason through failures without blindly depending on an AI tool.
You do not need a completed degree, a specific number of years, or experience with our stack. You also do not need to know Python, voice, SIP, or collections before joining.

We use AI tools every day and expect you to use them too.
To us, they multiply the judgment of a strong engineer. They do not replace it.
How we work
How we work
This is a full-time role and Bogotá is our strong preference.
If you are in Bogotá, we would like to work together in person one or two days a week during onboarding and whenever being together helps.
If you are exceptionally strong, we can consider a remote setup within Latin America.
This is not a slow environment full of perfectly scoped tickets. You will get context, access, and support, along with problems nobody here has solved before.
The process
First, we see how you work
We do not begin with an interview.
You will get a short problem inspired by real work at Callbook. You will have 90 minutes and may use Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, Google, or any other tool you want.
We are not looking for a perfect solution. We want to see how you learn, investigate, decide, and verify.
